The release model Resistance works by setting the release to the holding weight plus a bit of differential. Once you're set at maximum, you release and use the back tension to overcome the differential weight and the release is activated. It is an easier way to pull back tension than using a rotational release because there is no hand rotation involved, you just pull with your back and the release operates.
Onnex Resistance can have a slight difference of +/- 1/8 lbs from one pull to the next. The release trigger adjustment is the widest on the market from an arc let off from just above zero up to 28 lbs. Both long and short neck models are available in sizes ranging from Small to X-Large. The short-neck models increase your draw length by just over a quarter inch and are ideal for those looking to maximise speed or closer string contact on the face.
